Located at 555 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, SOGO is one of the major shopping landmarks for Hong Kong people and tourists.

The 6th floor is the kid's section, clothes, shoes & toys (the usual stuff).  But the 15th floor is where the gems are.  Japanese Books, mangas, magazines and other reading materials.  The photos were taken on a best effort basis as Photography is not allowed in the mall.

Four floors of toys stores hidden in plain sight, this place would be mistaken as a residential building. Located at  111 Argyle St, Mong Kok, one can easily walk past this place.  Even from across the street, no big lit sign like Sino Center and In's Point, and no clue that this place houses another otaku haven in Mong Kok.

 

Inside, the small hallways are lined with numerous collectors shops, model figures and gashapons.  But the best area is the basement where Tokusatsu items are sold.  Unfortunately, the cramped space makes it hard for me to photograph the stores as the hallways are just enough for 2 people.

But still, its best to keep your eyes peeled as you never know what goodies you will find here.  And once again, bring lots of cash.

Asian pop culture galore, this famous Hong Kong otaku heaven is deceptively hidden in plain sight, outside, rows of watch & jewelry stores, inside, 4 floors of geek paradise.   Located at 582-592 Nathan Road, Mong Kok, you can easily spend hours in here wandering around as place has practically everything otakus want.

Shops here include Jpop, Jrock, Anime, Gundams, Artbooks, Photobooks, DVDs, Adult videos, Gadgets, Photography accesories, Comics, Mangas, CDs and lots of toys and figures!  And sometimes, surprises will just pop-up when you least expect it.

 

 

 

Bring lots of cash, pray for good bargains and availability of the items you want.

Located at 1N Sai Yeung Choi Street South, Mong Kok, the 2nd floor CTMA Center Toymart  houses Superman Toys & Toy Hunters, the official Hot Toys showroom as well as a few smaller stores.

Visually pleasing is Superman Toys, it's like entering a small museum with neatly stacked shelves of Gundam, S.H. Figuarts, posters, trading cards, robots,etc., big, packed and well lit breath-taking display cases and a lot of rare items.  Downside is the "No Photography" sign (sorry, no pictures)
