I took these pictures when I attended an accounting seminar last month in Makati. These were shot from the 28th floor of the Equitable Bank Building.

Located at 505 Tomas Mapua St., Cor. Tetuan St., Sta. Cruz, Manila, Special Toy Center is a one stop shop for anyone who enjoys working with scale models.

Military, Navy, Cars, Planes, Gundam and Anime, the store offers a wide variety of model kits (wall to wall, from floor to ceiling literally) as well as the peripherals of the hobby such as tools & accessories, paints and brushes, books & catalogs, acrylic display cases and turn tables. And because the owner is a modeler and collector himself he can offer newcomers as well as established modelers advise from planning to finishing details.

Hobbyists and collectors can get good deals on toys and collectibles which include some hard to find items. I can't believe I found my Kamen Rider Kuuga Souchaku Henshin Growing & Mighty form at a low price here among other collectibles. A display case is a definite next on my list.

Other items I saw there were Tamiya cars, Gashapons, Actions Figures, New Type Magazines & Display Stands. I'll be visiting their other branches to see what other treasures I can find.
Address: 2277 Chino Roces Ave., Makati City.

I've been passing by this place whenever I go to Makati Cinema Square but this is the first time I actually went in. It wasn't until I saw Senor Enrique's post that I found out what this place really was.

Little Tokyo is a small compound just across Makati Cinema Square. (1 entrance from the main road and another across Plaza Fair). It has a nice Japanese setting and houses several small Japanese Restaurants like the ones Japanese salary men go to after work. They cater mostly to Japanese nationals & expats working &/or living in the area. Business starts picking-up at 5 p.m. onwards.

Note: Japanese Environment, Japanese Market, Japanese "Prices"

I went there just about lunch time. The restaurants were still closed except for the Curry House so I decided to try it out.

This delicious order of Pork Curry rice cost Php180.00 (JPY 471.60 or US$ 3.85), it comes with salad and soup. Plus 12% VAT.

Last weekend was my first out of town trip since getting my digicam. I had to fill-in for our department's union representative at the last minute to attend a Union Confrerence in Pranjetto Hills Resort and Conference Center in Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal.

It was a 2 hour ride from Manila to Tanay, Rizal. Upon reaching the resort, it would just be wrong for me not to start shooting as the place was literally paradise. Green grass, flowers everywhere, cool breeze, pine trees, and a spectacular view of the mountains. It's not everyday a city guy gets to experience something like this.

Our air-conditioned cottages were able to accommodate 4 - 6 persons and the outside had a breath-taking view of "mother nature".

They also have an Olympic sized swimming pool down the hill where our bonding activities were held.

The conference began from 10 a.m. up to 11 p.m. and I only got to shoot during break time.

Here are a few more shots of Pranjetto Hills.
