Manila Ocean Park

Photos of the on-going construction of the Manila Ocean Park behind the Quirino Grandstand at Rizal Park.

A new place to look out for, this world-class marine themed complex will bring together an oceanarium, a mall, restaurant row, hotel, open water marine habitats and multipurpose function facilities. It is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2008.

The main attraction of the oceanarium is a 25-meter long walkway tunnel with 220-degree curved acrylic walls. Entrance fee is P250 for students, and P350 to P400 for regular patrons.

They changed the Baywalk even before I could go and see what it was. Maybe should put this in my agenda right away.

BTW, thanks for visiting my blog.

Don't know... looks quite expensive to me... I wonder if they will survive.
I can't imagine a lot of people paying regularly 350 pesos a head with a family of 7...
Once the buzz is over I fear the worst...

I passed by this weekend and was told that its original opening date of Christmas 2007 is now an impossibility so the first quarter of 2008 then.

Hmmm ... I think the entrance fees are much higher than what was supposedly anticipated. They may have to cut them in half to make this place more accessible to the masses as they had originally intended.

I have watched all 3D IMAX Films at
Mall of Asia. You wear an oversized
Eyeglasses to view the world in 3D where you feel you are really there and almost touch the live objects in front of you (ANYWHERE YOU SIT IN THE THEATER)

Now this is something NEW happening here in Manila. For a price a little more expensive than a short IMAX Film, I can now see the Ocean LIVE in front of my eyes
or maybe I get to pet a real WHITE SHARK ?

They should lower the ticket price so more people can afford to enjoy this new attraction

I see posters posted everywhere its
opening soon this coming February ???.....
