Located at 505 Tomas Mapua St., Cor. Tetuan St., Sta. Cruz, Manila, Special Toy Center is a one stop shop for anyone who enjoys working with scale models.
Military, Navy, Cars, Planes, Gundam and Anime, the store offers a wide variety of model kits (wall to wall, from floor to ceiling literally) as well as the peripherals of the hobby such as tools & accessories, paints and brushes, books & catalogs, acrylic display cases and turn tables. And because the owner is a modeler and collector himself he can offer newcomers as well as established modelers advise from planning to finishing details.
Hobbyists and collectors can get good deals on toys and collectibles which include some hard to find items. I can't believe I found my Kamen Rider Kuuga Souchaku Henshin Growing & Mighty form at a low price here among other collectibles. A display case is a definite next on my list.
Other items I saw there were Tamiya cars, Gashapons, Actions Figures, New Type Magazines & Display Stands. I'll be visiting their other branches to see what other treasures I can find.

They once had a branch at Isetann where I would look at their display windows every time before going in to the car park. But they closed that branch and moved somewhere.
Quite pricey collectible stuff they have.
I know of 3 branches. Festival Mall in Alabang, Cubao, & the main in Sta. Cruz.
I dropped by the main store this week. They're having a sale. I saw Transformers figures that are 50% off.
i know a friend who will be happy when i told him about this... hehehe. thanks for the info... :)
I have been going to their shops. Their collection is ok, but I would personally prefer Lil's. Unfortunately, Lil's mecha collection is limited; however, if you are more into the military genre, Lil's give better deals and the staff is a lot friendlier.
Paint wise, I had several not so nice experiences with STC, but that's beside the point. They still carry the gunze line, so, there seems to be no other choice.
On the up-side regarding STC, they can have stocks forwarded to one branch to another when it is not available at the branch close to you if you are a regular.
They have shops located at Sta Mesa, SM North, Eastwood City, Festival Mall and Alabang Town Center.
Lil's have branches over at SM Megamall, Park Square 1 and the new trinoma mall.
There's Hobbies and Comics at Harison Plaza, too.
For Mecha, you have Great Toys, Toy Kingdom, Wonder Toys, Toys 'r' Us, Kidz Station.
There are lots of options.
There's this nice option over at Lil's park square, you can have some stuff ordered online from hannants for you.
STC is a nice shop, they have a good mix of their wares but they can get a bit pricey.
Thanks for the info.

Saw that they have a box of Yamato scale, wow magkano kaya yun? Always wanted a Yamato to be a part of my collection.
Tenx partner for sharing this one!
Keep on clickin'!
