FILIPINO - CHINESE WORLD WAR II MARTYRS MEMORIAL

January 4, 2008, I witnessed the Filipino-Chinese World War II Martyrs Memorial being taken down. The plans for this memorial, which stood since June 12, 1995 by the Pasig River, whether it will be relocated is still unknown to me.

I frequented the Pasig River during weekends when I started photography, shooting the river, the post office, Jones Bridge & the Pasig River Ferry. I had a hard time getting a clean shot at the memorial because it was usually the playground for street children, but I eventually did get the shot after several trips back.

Here's one last look.
